Dr Semiya Aziz is a seasoned GP with over two decades of experience in both NHS and private practices. She is a long-serving member of the Chase Lodge Hospital GP services team having joined the practice in 2011. 

She qualified in medicine with a MBBS from The Royal London Hospital after completing a BSc in Microbiology from Queen Mary University, London. Following six years in hospital-based medicine, she gathered extensive experience in gastroenterology, dermatology, obstetrics, gynaecology, paediatrics and rheumatology. After finishing her Part I MRCP exams, she completed her GP training in the NE London Deanery gaining further postgraduate qualifications in general practice (MRCGP) and has a diploma from the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.

Semiya has a specialist interest in women’s health, family planning, menopause, anxiety and depression. Most recently she completed a diploma in lifestyle medicine gaining the qualification BSLM/IBLM, where she uses an evidence-based approach to focus on treating the underlying causes of disease rather than the symptoms. 

With a strong focus on treating patients holistically, Semiya places a significant emphasis on a proactive approach to medicine and lifestyle. She prides herself on her friendly, approachable demeanour in establishing long-term continuity of care with her patients. 

She enjoys an active lifestyle, practising yoga and pilates and has developed a passion for healthy cooking.
