Dr Aymen Khumri qualified in 1996 from University College London Medical School and has been working as a GP for over 15 years in both NHS and private practice after gaining membership with the Royal College of General Practitioners in 2003. She holds post graduate diplomas in Child Health, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Family Planning and Sexual Health.                               

She has a special interest in health screening, stress management, women’s health, paediatrics and adolescent care. She provides NHS GP services in Barnet and is a passionate GP educator.

Aymen lived overseas in Kerala, South India, for a few years, where she established the International Medical Practice, a community based family clinic promoting international standards of evidence based medicine and patient centred continuity of care. She also successfully developed and managed the first integrated, multidisciplinary child development centre dedicated to children with special needs in Kerala. She is the first doctor from the UK to gain the Indian medical licence.

Aymen loves the variety of work involved in being a GP. She especially enjoys building lasting and trusting relationships with patients and their families to provide timely, holistic, continuity of care.

In her spare time, Aymen enjoys teaching Yoga, hiking and wild swimming with her dog and baking.
