Who will Chase Lodge Hospital be providing COVID-19 tests for?
We will be testing patients in the following order:
- NHS Workers
- Families of NHS workers
- At risk patients
- Patients with symptoms
- Concerned patients
How does the COVID-19 Test work?
The test is an antibody test which will show if you have the virus. This can be used two days after symptoms appear and up to a month after having the first symptom.
How long will it take to get the COVID-19 test results?
The result will be ready in 10-15 minutes.
Where does the COVID-19 testing take place?
All testing has to be done at Chase Lodge Hospital premises, under the supervision of a doctor and as it is a notifiable disease, patients must bring their photo identity with them.
Who will be involved in my COVID-19 test?
This is a screening test and will be accompanied by counselling by the doctor, before the test, who will make sure the test is carried out correctly. The doctor will then offer advice after the results of the test.
